I'm owning such a unit (European market) since summer 2010. It ran over 30 public shows of 4-5 hrs each. I'm still satisfied about my purchase decision, the model is in deed a high end. What I haven't ever understood is why the 1920x1080 pixels model is so much expensive than this one (1280x800), I don't believe except the DLP matrix rest of electronics is differing much btw. these two. I couldn't afford to buy that model (DZ6710)... However, overall conclusion is next purchase process of a projector will definitely include Panasonic, which will have a positive start vs. rest of other manufacturers.

Any Problems: It happened twice the right side half of the image has completely dissapeared. The unit has being switched off and on again. I guess it was a contact problem.

We began deploying these when they first came out. We had had good success with the predessors beginning with the DW5000s and DW5100s. We now have over 80 installed (higher ed) and have had only one failure since we started using the DW series over 5 years ago. In our situation, the projectors get a significant amount of use. Overall we have in the tens of thousands of hours and the single failure was repaired at no cost. Great warranty. To the previous poster who asked about why his 2 didnt seem to have the same brightness, realize there are several sections in the menu which could affect that. Find the menu that gives you a choice of Normal, Dynamic, Cinema etc. Make sure they are the same. And yes it is possible to save settings which could cause the difference.

Any Problems: Not really.

We purchased a set of these about 4 years ago. Needless to say, they are both still running strong! We have used them for a range of different venues and events and we are extremely happy with them. Definitely become familiar with them BEFORE you put them into action. Although they are very easy to use, the controls are somewhat confusing at time and you need to do a quick read through the manual to ensure you don't "forget where that feature is". Altogether, we were very happy with this purchase. We have long throw lenses on both, which have given us a great image up to 65ft!! It was awesome. Great quality for the money spent!!

Any Problems: In comparing the two units, one unit seems to be dimmer than the other...no matter what we do to the settings. Not sure if we messed up the settings, but even when comparing side by side all settings and features, we cannot figure out how to make that second unit as bright as the first. Any help is appreciated.
