Write a Reviewreplacing the bulb with one of the newer phillips UHP designs really pays off in this projector. much brighter, closer to 1000 lumens.. 6000-10,000 hrs per bulb, and initial brightness lasts until the last day the bulb runs. also 1.0mm gap burns brighter and no tungsten deposits. this is a great projector if in good condition and u are paying ANYTHING less than whats at futureshop right now, ull get better value. what they have at 1700 is functionally just as capable as this. u can also get 1920x1080 on this projector, thru VGA connection. if u are not using it with a PC it may not be as visually up to par, but with VGA it can be matched with any new projector at the same resolution.. enjoy!
Any Problems: - psu burned out after fans died without warning. - cost only 40$ to repair since uses components which are quite common nowadays. - if the fans conk out, the plastic grills in back will become brittle and break (looks better once u add your own grills)
Very good picture quality. This projector is very light and easy to move around. I've used this as a replacement for a home theater projector and was satisfied with the results. The picture is crisp and clean with great colors. Loooonnnnggg lasting lamp makes this a great buy.
Any Problems: I had a similar problem as another reviewer - the internal power supply became unplugged. It was a very easy fix, just curious because it was never dropped or banged around to my knowledge.
I had bought this projector to tamper around with. I was gona try fitting an ENX bulb in it and forceing it to use cheap bulbs,it was soposed to have a burned out bulb. well when I recieved it I opened it to find that the lamp ballast was unpluged I dont know why maby it was droped. anyway it turned out the machine only has 309 hours on the bulb and these bulbs last 4000 hours!!! I win... the seller was OWN3D! haha. but it also had bad fans... I replaced em, dont know why with only 320 hours total on machine so after fixing it, its been very easy to use, very portible, very light, dosent seam too noizy. very clear picture. I LOVE IT!!! and it was only $65 bucks!!!
Any Problems: None so far
lx1 is perfect for mating with pc
Any Problems: when using a mirror to allow for a larger image in a small room, there is no keystoning so u have to really play a lot to get a perfectly 4:3 image. we managed 9.5 feet x 9.5 feet (ceiling height max for us)!
Great projector.. small and not to loud. Excellent color and XGA quality is crisp. I'd buy another....and lamps last over 4000 hours.
Any Problems: Fan stays on low when off? ?? ? ?
Great projector - I've had mine for about 6 months now. Awesome for movies, consoles games, and for a PC monitor - and great lamp life. I've seen these selling around $1,000 now, which is what most SVGA projectors sell for, and this unit is XGA. It's my first projector so I'm a little biased towards it, but I've seen quite a few other projectors and this one holds up very well in comparison.
Any Problems: Projector doesn't completely shut down and instead goes to 'standby mode'. Sometimes I've had to manually power it off from the powerbar in order to get it to synch to source.
Great projector all around, worked great for a home theatre, awesome remote and awesome color quality! Very bright, and bulb lasts forever! I have had 2 of these, and I would get another. For the price right now you can't beat this one.
Any Problems: both of me LX1's tend had some hot spots on dark screens, where the spot is a bit lighter, it can be resolved by adjusting the contrast and brightness.
Nice color
