I looked at all of the projectors between 4k and 10K including the sony vpl-vw100 and walked out with this projector. Picture quality was as good as the Sony. Colors are more accurate. Scaling is unmatched! Maybe not as bright as the Sony, but the room where this projector is installed has very controlled lighting. 1080p is hugely overhyped right now. Unless you have a 120" screen, you won't see the difference. The reality of buying a projector is that you are buying video processing capabilities. This projector has serious capabilities! Standard TV looks amazingly good on this projector.(Better than all of the projectors 10K and below) HDTV is stunning. Worth Every cent!
Any Problems: None yet, switching the light output took me a little longer than I would have liked.
