Write a ReviewI've had the unit for about a year. I use it as a home theater projector with U-Verse, NetFlix, etc. Originally, projected on a beige wall, colors were washed out, changed to flat white ceiling paint and picture is perfect.
Any Problems: Finding universal remotes that support it is difficult.
I am a PC Technician for a Community College which purchased about 35 of these model projectors. The campus itself has a total of 250 projector machines installed in classrooms.
Any Problems: The projectors blow lamps anywhere from 30 hours to 500 hours. The lamps are rated for 2,000 hours and we have not had one make it to 2,000 yet. We have sent in a total of 8 projectors out of our 35, two of which have been sent in twice for warranty repair. Thats a total of 10 RMA's. Of the 10 RMA's to Sharp we have had to argue with them about why they should replace the lamp. This unit has a design flaw and the cooling system is appearantly shot. Dont Buy this projector!
Everything woks great. The thing I like most is the built in closed caption decoder. Easy to install and works great woth serial interface to remote controler.
