Write a ReviewA bought this second hand for a low price in Sweden and despite it's age it is still a great performer in picture quality. No rainbow effects and good contrast. It works best in a dark cinema room. Setup is user friendly and menus are not hard to navigate. The short zoom range limits placing so carefully planning is a must. Compared to modern projectors it performs very well even with today standards but it is big and noisy. The rather high fan noise is the only drawback for me. 30 dB at cinema-mode is a bit high for being optimal.
Any Problems: No problems so far
A+++++++++best of three that I have owned. Contrast is very good I would buy the good bulbs however, no generics they want last. Great for movies you will be impressed.
I was able to pick this up as a referb for $500. This projector has been amazing. The black level detail is great. The screen correction guide was easy to use and made matching the image to our screen simple.
Any Problems: We do have some small orbs from dust that can only be seen on very dark content.
Has bought for $1500, and now I will not give to anybody because such good a little and they cost much more expensive. Short-focus, high contrast, shift of lenses... The Small minus - noise, but it is appreciable only on silent scenes. Sorry for bad english :-)
Incredible contrast. I chose this projector because of the ability to go really big, up to 300 in. I have a 12ft by 8 foot wall screen and the picture is great. I have owned it now for 12 months and will never go back to the tubes.
This is my second projector, the other one was a Panasonic PT-AE700U, and as I'm writing this, I honestly feel that the XV-Z3000 is the best bang-for-the-buck. It even outclasses more expensive projectors. It has plenty of lumens, great blacks, great contrast, balanced colors and the image is very sharp. You can't go wrong with this one. Highly recommended!
Any Problems: When watching TV, switching from an HD to a SD channel (and vice-versa) takes too much time.
This projector is incredible. When I was investigating what to buy, this was not ny first choice. However, I was attracted to it because of the short throw ratio. The projector I wanted to buy was the IN76. With it, I would have had a maximum picture of around 97 inches. With the Sharp, my picture is 128 inches. Everyone who views the picture cannot believe how good it is. It is truly as good as being in the theatre.
Real easy to set up, and the keystone is realy user frendly. Great remote and short cut for image settings are usefull. Must have for a great home theater and gaming room. A bit big, but i think its a good sign of quality!
Any Problems: no problem, for now.
