We have quite a few of these installed at our school and nearly all of them have had the same problem. Not powering up, we believe due to a semiconductor problem. We have some cheaper Sanyos which have been brilliant! More reliable and brighter!

Any Problems: Power up problems - probably due to damaged semi-conductor

This is an awesome "starter" projector for simple home theatre use... great for XBOX or PS2. Although you do want to have a good distance =12' viewing distance to minimize the 'screendoor effect'. This projector is OUTSTANDING as a data/presentation projector. Even in a fully lit room you can get an excellent picture with more than adequate brightness.

Any Problems: doesn't accept any image but video (composite) S-Video, and VGA. Does do widescreen but will NOT accept an HTDV (or EDTV) signal through the VGA port. ONLY 800x600 (native) or 1024x768 interpolated are supported. Credit card remote is 'lame'... full sized remotes are the only way to go.

I got it as a gift to start my business and is the best for the money i had other brands but not as easy to use and well built sony thanks for a great proyector keep them as this one and you guys will rule the market.

Any Problems: not knowing when and how many hours the lamp will last????

This is a cheap great projector, the only "bad" thing is the screendoor-effect, but all in all a great buy, brightness is good, and it dosen`t have to be total darkness in the room

Got this projector dirt cheap on ebay and it was well worth the investment. Image is bright, good color, quiet operation, text is clean and legible, and overall I'm pretty happy with the video performance as well...for the price.

Any Problems: The screen door effect is pretty noticable, which does detract from the image. Also generates a fair bit of heat.

First projector, use it mainly for watching DVDs via a laptop. Very please with picture, very sharp and clear (this is just on a white wall as well, no screen). Compaired to a 1024 x 768 Sony CX5 that I use to borowed, hardly any noticable difference and the CX5 was more than twice the price and the fan waas very noise (as older model)

This projector ROCKS. I project easily in fully lit rooms for presentations and use it all the time to watch DVDs. Image bright and clear, menu easy to use and extremely slim and light. A+++!

For 'bottom end of the market' this is great value. I do travelling presentations from a portable computer....plug them in...switch them on...turn sets it's keystone corrections.....and I'm business. Enough luminems for most uses. I'm very satisfied.

Any Problems: The projectors has been a problem from the start. When the projectors are used for the first time in the day they often have to be restarted before they will work. We bought 8 of these at the same time and are worried about the purchase. The signal is also dropped at random whilst watching videos.

This unit is a joy to use and look at. However, the menu of user changeable options are limited. More important, when I tried to use it for viewing movies, I was bothered by the muddiness of the image, the lack of contrast and brightness, and the screen-door effect. As it has been designed primarily for computer-based presentations, it is in this usage that this product may excel in. But I can't recommend it for viewing movies. In fact, I had to return it.

Any Problems: In this case, beauty is indeed skin-deep.
