This is a beautiful projector. Colour gamut, contrast and luminosity are very good. Good facilities for focusing and zoom. Remote is straight forward to use.

Have been using this projector for over 3 years and it has been a dream. Everyone is amazed at the picture quality. Driving it with a Sony Progressive DVD changer, DirectTV HD TIVO unit and a home-built PC.

Any Problems: No problems to report up until last September. I have an intermittant 'stuck' pixel in blue (I guess it's stuck as it only shows when there is blue content there). It's hardly noticable and I haven't noticed it in weeks. I have only had to change the filter once. Coming up on 2000 hours, spare bulb on hand but have not had to use it!

Absolutley incredible!!! No problems at all. I am at 2800 hours and still haven't had to replace the bulb. Highly recommended. The HD quality on a Firehawk screen looks like a 110" Plasma on my wall.

Any Problems: NONE!!!!

Having owned this projector for one year, I have been very pleased with its performance. It is connected to a Sony progressive-scan DVD player, a HDTV cable service, and a Mitsubishi VCR w/s-video out. The pictures from DVD's are very good (some better than others) and the HDTV channels are outstanding. Visitors are stunned by the picture. (projecter on a 110" da-lite gray screen). Set-up was a breeze and the Avia disk helped. The remote is well layed out and intuitive.

Any Problems: Changing filters may introduce dust if you aren't very careful.

48hs and dusts like the 10ht!The image is average with the the dust ,i'm looking for how can i clean it;maybe i will change to dlp that don't have this problem(the optical unit is blinded)

Review by guilherme

I change my 10ht(249 hours) to 12ht and i am very happy with the contrat and the air filter improvements!!No dusts at time.

Any Problems: NO (36 hours-lamp timer)

Bought to replace Sony's VPL-W400Q in my existing home theater. Furious to learn it cannot project at the same distance to existing screen. Preset image size prevents this unit from working in an existing home theater without remodeling.

Any Problems: Doesn't come with power cord. Not designed for overhead shelf installation (only table top or ceiling mount). Preset image size with only minor adjustment possible means this is not the right unit for upgrading an existing home theater room.

It works like an high-end crt. Wonderful!

Any Problems: None

The best image quality I have ever seen after colorcalibration. Good connectors also.

This is one of the best LCD for Home Theater. It has a great air path. And one of the best dust filter from Sony. That why Sony has discontinue the 10ht and 11ht.

Any Problems: none

Looks great. Screen door is barely noticeable compared to 10HT. Stewart Greyhawk Screen seems to work really well with this projector. I'm very pleased so far!!!!

I upgraded from watching the VPL-VW10HT for 18 months. I liked the 10HT. The 12HT is a much better picture. As good as a high end CRT. Very good blacks and contrast. For HDTV and DVD's this is just perfect. Very easy to setup with a great picture right out of the box. This is a winner!

Any Problems: No problems what so ever!

Review by Dr Luis D Silva

Excellent picture quality, good flesh tones after some tweaking, good blacks, almost no screendoor in a 10'wide pic it was visible only inside 4',easy remote, gren filter improved whites, all this projected in a wall, should improve much more with a firehawk screen

Any Problems: None, no dead pixels, no dust blobs
