Write a ReviewThis projector works excellently with the Xbox 360 using VGA cables. The image quality is very comparable to my friends 1366x768 native resolution 50 inch plasma tv (which he purchased in 2009). The main difference is that I'm projecting a 120 inch plus screen. I don't think that any TVs made before 2000 had this good of a picture. Like most projectors, in order to have the best picture, the room most be almost completely dark. Usable in the day time, but kind of harms the color saturation and contrast levels. The contrast ratio is respectfully, even when projecting on a wall. The only prob is that I don't think it can accept HDTV signals without a converter box unit. The speakers could be a little louder for some dvds, but plenty loud enough for all xbox games. This is the first projector I've ever own and I've enjoyed over 200 hours on it so far. Had it only about two months. Extremely well built design. Bulbs can be bought cheap. I got a spare bulb for under $80 on a online auction.
Any Problems: I bought the sony vpl-x1000u used one for less than $200. The unit does suffer from dust blobs and some discoloration. Has some yellowing around the edges, which is only visible on light screens. Sadly, the projector ages just like any other projector. Can't find how many hours are on the bulb.
This is a solid, robust unit, with excellent features. Although I've used it for occasional home theater use (the throw is great), it's really too loud and a little bulky for that. As a business projector, it's first class. The speakers are acceptable and are far better than on a laptop. I grabbed myself a bargain, and would recommend this model if you found one too.
Any Problems: My unit has some minor colour distortion on the right hand of the image, but for PC work, it's unnoticeable.
This projector is awesome. Never had any problems, amazing image, incredibly sturdy yet light. The contrast and brightness makes DVDs especially look great, but I use mine for everything.
Any Problems: None
This is built like a tank. Its from a different class and age to current projectors. This is a professional piece of kit...the image quality especially in terms of colour reproduction holds up against any modern LCD projector 4 years later.
Any Problems: None. This has a reputation for being the most reliable LCD projector available.
I have seen a lot of this projector and have pulled apart many time. This projector is very reliable. Color is great. If you use for home theater like I did, U have to know how to align video color to get the best contract ratio.
Any Problems: Not a lot of people know how to align video color There only two people @ Sony that really know how to align video color on these projectors. From Norcross, Georgia.
