Write a ReviewThis projector is a really good deal, very bright. I use it in a well lit living room with large windows. I have been using it for close to 2 years and everything I push out at 1080i. It looks incredible!
Any Problems: None!
Fantastic optical system that as long as you are pointing at the bottom of the screen, the image is on the screen. I filled a 10' x10' screen and it was plenty bright and good color saturation.
With the recent price drop in March, this PJ is a no brainer. Very bright, good contrast. Bought it for work but have watched a few movies (on a plain white wall) and colors are very good with no jumping or screen door in the picture. I'm sure it will only improve with a proper screen. Also very nice is the packaging and build quality. Built with good looking aluminium, it looks and feels more substantial than some of the other "plastic" projecotrs. It comes with a real, usable, padded carry case. Brushed steel hardware and zippered pockets for your cables, nice. The last projector we had came with an unpadded bag. The remote will also double as a mouse for the computer, nice feature we didn't have on our last one.
Any Problems: There might be better PJ's out there for home theater at this price point, but for something that you can use at the office and home this is a pretty tough PJ to beat. Fan is a little loud at full blast but in econ mode it's not an issue.
This is the best digital projector we have ever used! Contrast is outstanding and allows us to give effective presentations even in brightly lit venues. The automatic keystone feature works very well and the laser pointer in the remote control is a very nice touch. Windows XP recognized it right away with no need to install interface drivers. Setup and the learning curve was a breeze. It took one minute longer to get this projector out of the box than it did to set it up and get it running flawlessly without need for directions. Great job well done Toshiba!
Any Problems: Only one problem encountered thus far. Too many people keep asking to borrow it from us!
Wonderful projector - I have been using it for a year now in both medium-sized venues. Now if it just had a pc card slot and wireless, it would be perfect ...
took it out of the box, plugged it in, xp pro picked it up, adjusted output resolution automatically and I was watching a movie within two minutes--documentation from the factory leaves a lot to be desired; but if you are a geek (I am), this machine is superb.
Wow! This projector is bright and the one touch adjustment is incredible. I haven't seen this with any other projector I have purchased. Excellent value for the price.
Any Problems: I had a hard time getting it out of the box, but after that, set-up was easy and everything was clearly marked.
