This is an excellent projector. The video scaling is amazing. I am currently using a vutec silverstar screen which is giving a bright, brilliant, detailed picture. I would highly recommend this projector.

We have recommended and installed it many times now and it is absolutly the finest Value in the business. The Runco Cats eye lens yields tremendous clarity. This projector has Complete Discrete Codes for everything, and the Very Best 4:3 Stretch mode I have ever seen. 4:3 programming is rendered in 16:9 so well that it appears to be 16:9 native material. For those of you comparing this to the Benq pe8700, don't bother- while the 8700 is a good value, the built-in Runco proprietary Scaler and lens system makes all the difference. We were called in to solve some install problems for someone that bought his gear online. It was the perfect opportunity to compare the Vidikron model 40 side by side with pe8700. All I need to say is that this customer is now a customer of our for life. Upon veiwing the difference between these two units he sent back the PE8700!

My local dealer told me this projector was basically a Runco 710c, I was skectical at first but he convinced me and I had him install it. He was right! It even comes with a Runco warranty card! This is the best picture I have ever seen in my life! The colors & detail blow away the sony unit I tried. I watched Galdiator and felt like I was seeing it for the first time. Those dark unwatchable scenes are rendered with remarkable detail and clarity. I am blown away! Thanks Vidikron (or should I say Runco?)
