ViewSonic PJ755D User Reviews

I owned a PJ500 prior to upgrading to the PJ755D. I actually prefer the image quality of the LCD over the DLP because the DLP image seems to have alot of "flutter", especially with whites. I love the fact that the PJ755D has high enough lumens and contrast to be used mid-day in a room with alot of windows.
Any Problems: First off, when using the component input, the image was significantly dimmer than when using s-video input (for DVD, game, & cable TV). Also, I bought my PJ755D in Mar 2005. The mfg date on the serial tag says Jan 2005. It's only December and I have had one faulty bulb, and 2 complete projector replacements. Granted, it is all covered under warranty. But what happens when the warranty runs out. I'm stuck with a piece of junk that will cost me a fortune to have serviced or replace. Great projector when it's working but in my opinion, Viewsonic messed up with this design.
The numbers and price look great! I'd love to have picked this up for $1500, but who has 18' to throw a 100 inches... Viewsonic never seems to get it quite right.
