Write a ReviewI was have 1 OF this qumi5 FOR 3 MONTHS and i can says,, is very good led projector, the image quality is good but the focus is dificult to ajust, for to get the best quality image only have you appear 10 minutes in on, you can to get 100 inch of image in diagonal in 16:10 mode 1280x800 and the image is very clean and crisp.. the contrast ratio is very good the black colors is very good to, i like this projector..
Any Problems: only the ajustment focus
I was initially a bit skeptical about a projector of this size, but having used it extensively over the last several months in a small motorhome it has been my best purchase. The over cab fold up bed gives me a 50" screen and reasonable darkness gives a good WXGA image from Flash, harddrive, media player or Blu-Ray player. After dark I am amazed with the image colors that appear bright even on the beige surface.
Any Problems: Not so much problems as concerns: I wish these projectors had a shorter throw ratio, projector has to be right about where you are sitting and with wires it gets a bit cluttered.
I loved this projector until... Awesome picture and colors, very bright for its tiny size, great features. I was extremely happy with it until the outside lens melted.
Any Problems: The outer lens melted. Am i the only one? It happened after cleaning it with distilled water while the projector was on. I normally would not attempt this on a non LED unit but the temperature seemed low enough and I could best see where to clean. At first, it looked like the lens was loosing its coating in an oval shape in its upper portion. I then i tried to remove the rest of the coating using alcohol, i realized that the lens was being etched or melted on the inside. It just does not make sens that this would happen with regular normal use. Since it was a factory refurbished unit the warranty was only for 90 days and is now expired. Vivitek wants more than $200 to replace the lens (that i have already taken out). It really does not make sense to throw away such perfectly good little projector because of that plastic lens, and buying a new one or sending it in for repairs is not in the budget. Buyer beware of this flaw.
I have had this machine for two weeks and fed it with all kinds of video formats ,tried all the inputs and it always delivered a picture of superb quality It has been criticized for its fan noise but I do not find it disturbing or loud at all It delivers a very sharp image and the rendering of a computer screen is awesome, texts and charts and drawings are almost perfect Picture is bright enough to be viewed in a semi lit room which makes it perfect for presentations
Any Problems: Focal adjustment is a bit tricky;the little control wheel is rather hard .As the machine is really tiny it will tend to lose a bit of its focal adjustment and requires a slight correction after an hour's running the tiny built in loud speakers are worthless the audio output requires to be connected to external loud speakers
amazing picture quality... especially in HD. worth spending the money on it instead of a flat TV. contrast ratio is good and the built in wifi is a great feature.
This projector shows a fantastic HD image and in a light controlled room lights up a 133 diagonal 1.4 gain screen.3yr warranty and no bulbs what is there not to like!
Any Problems: remote could be improved
