I have had now for ten years and has worked flawlessly the whole time. It is used a lot. My only complaint is having to change the lamp as frequently as I have too.

Any Problems: Have had mine for two and a half years. Worked great for a year and since has turned into a nightmare. Live at 10,600 feet and projector has been back to Yamaha four times and they cannot figure it out. So high tech bots working to resolve.

I was floored when I seen a demo at my dealer and was expecting something a bit less when I got home.(Because the dealer always have the top of the line hookups) Boy was I wrong. As soon as I lowered my 92" firehawk screen, I knew I had a winner. What impresses me most about this unit is that not only do you get an incredible HD image but your DVD's play almost as good. A friend has a sony Cineza that has a comprable HD image but his dvd movies come nowhere close to this unit. I have to pinch myself everytime I watch a movie on my Dpx1000. Highly recommended!!!!!!!

Any Problems: Initialy, the HD image was very green and tech support was poor. It took me a month of e-mails to yamaha and my dealer to figure out the problem. Finally, when I reset the unit to the factory setting, did magic begin to appear. My cable guy must have pressed something on the unit.

I like the Yamaha brand, they make really good audio equipment and motor bikes but there projectors need a little attention. When I saw the spec I thought this was going to be an awsome image. It let me down a bit.

Any Problems: 1000 hour lamp

This is the 7th and clearly the best projector I've owned , replacing a Runco VX-1000c. Using a 100" Stewart Firehawk 4-way BRICK screen this is the first non-crt unit I've had that truely has real black level resolution. I had an ISF technician calibrate the unit and he was also amazed with it's performance and noted that the factory settings were very close to correct. Not the brightest projector out there - but what a picture!

Any Problems: None after 4.5 months. :-)
