I am so glad I found this blog or I would not have known about the extended bulb warranty. I purchased my Epson 8100 Jan. 4, 2010 and the bulb has apparently gone bad. It is suddenly so dim it is unwatchable and the lamp only has 924 hours on it. My projector is feeling mounted, has very good airflow, and the filter gets cleaned regularly. Epson won't be open until Monday but when I call on Jan 2 it should still be under warranty by just two days. I hope I experience the great customer service most people have talked about. I bought it two years ago to watch the BCS Championship game in style, I will need it again Jan. 9th. (Roll Tide Roll)
