Pool Hall Projector
The local pool hall is the place on the planet where another human might actually think I'm pretty smart in math. While a complete failure in algebra, my geometry skills are not too shabby. I usually know exactly how and where a ball should be hit. The problem is my hands and my eyes rarely do the bidding of my brain
This story out of Portugal was especially interesting because it seems projection technology has come to the rescue. PoolLiveAid is a project aimed to make the ever challenging game of pool far less difficult by employing a system that first uses a ceiling mounted camera to read the tables' borders, the position of the cue ball and the angle of the pool cue. So all those calculations Efren Reyes might compute in his noggin are already made and a projector displays that path on a the pool table for anyone to follow.
