|I purchased the wrong projector bulb by accident and tried to request an RMA using the form on the Projector Central web page - and via email, but I never heard back. It seemed wasteful to just throw it away, so I sent the bulb back with a note explaining my mistake and asking for a replacement bulb or refund. Again - no response.|

I bought a replacement lamp for my Sony TV. I mistakenly ordered it for pickup. They left a message that it was ready for pickup the next day. When I called they were very helpful, and priority sent it to my house. Just an excellent example of exemplary customer service!

|I want to thank you for the excellent service I received on my recent purchase of a Sony Projector Lamp. My search for the lamp indicated several supply sources with considerable price variances. I doubt product quality alone would have influenced these prices to the extent noted. All considered your price, although not the lowest, appeared fair. I received delivery a little over 24 hours after order placement; I was more than surprised you could expedite my order in such an efficient manner.|

I purchased a BenQ lamp from Projector Lamp Source Canada. Prior to placing the order, I called to ensure that the "Lamp" (complete assembly) was genuine. I did this as I had an older projector and I made the mistake of purchasing a generic from a US distributor. In this instance, it arrived physically damaged and was returned and credited. It was at that time I was also made aware of my error that it wasn't genuine (The packaging alone made that pretty clear to me). Anyway, PLS assured me that it was Genuine, OEM and appeased my concern. I proceeded to place my order. The part arrived and I looked at the box and the part and all seemed to be in order.
As my current lamp was still functioning but near life expectancy, I put the lamp into storage until required. When I finally installed the replacement lamp, I thought all was well but within a brief period of time, the projector acted bizarrely and shut down. I opened the projector and reseated the lamp assembly thinking it might be a bad connection. Regrettably this didn't resolve the issue. I finally reinstalled the other lamp and tested the projector (which worked fine). Fortunately, it turned out that the issue was related to the lamp and not the projector. I contacted the supplier who informed me that I had just exceeded the warranty return period. I explained that I had just installed it but this wasn't a satisfactory explanation for replacing the lamp. They explained that I should have tested the lamp upon receipt. I can't argue as the onus was on me to ensure that the lamp was working satisfactorily so I just asked whether they could help to offset the cost of a replacement. I was told by the representative that she would do what she could and get back to me. When I didn't hear back from her, I contacted them again to find that she had left on holiday and just left me in limbo.
I began investigating the lamp and the possibility that I had been misled. The box and packaging looked professional but didn't say BenQ and the enclosure looked slightly different. I began to wonder whether I had in fact received what I ordered. I contacted BenQ USA and asked for their input. After sending photos etc, they confirmed that this was "not" a genuine BenQ product. It was at this time that I had also contacted the supplier and asked once again but in writing (not on the phone as originally done) whether this is a genuine BenQ product. This is where the truth came out. I was informed that the bulb was OEM, but the lamp assembly was not! This led into a war on words.They state "Projector Lamp for BenQ W7000 Projector - Genuine Original Lamp with Housing. They use the OEM p/n and they use genuine in the same sentence for housing. I made it clear that regardless of the warranty period provided, I had not been supplied with what I was led to believe was Genuine, OEM, BenQ product. Regardless of the circumstances
relating to this sale, they totally ignored the facts. I asked that they at the very least modify the site to add the words "Generic or Compatible" to the enclosure and make it totally clear to the end user that this is NOT A GENUINE BenQ product as a whole. Even if the bulb comes from the factory who makes it, I honestly don't care whether the bulb is supposedly coming from the OEM as I can't even verify that. What is important to me is to have a factory tested and verified Benq lamp which is what I thought I had purchased.
Suffice to say that they ignored the request to clarify the wording on their page nor did they accept responsibility for misleading me on the phone.
I'm out the cost of a lamp which I've since replaced with another from another firm which is GENUINE and works flawlessly.
As the saying goes... Caveat Emptor…

I am delighted to advise that I’ve been contacted by the management of PLS. He has sincerely apologized for how this matter was conducted and issued a full credit. I in turn am appreciative that they have decided to resolve this matter amicably.

I have a beautiful 9 year old 50 inch Sony SXRD back lamp TV. So recently when I turned the TV on there was no picture. After some research it appeared the projector lamp had failed. I called the store where I purchased the set to be told that Sony no longer produces these lamps and my only option was to take my TV to the recycle dump. I was not impressed with there suggestion so I went online to Amazon and found several companies in the States that sell lamps. You can imagine how excited I was to find this Company in Mississauga, Ontario who also sold them and when I entered my Lamp Model number they had 11 in stock. So I placed my order at 8:30am eastern on Tuesday and by noon the next day the Fedex man was knocking on my door on Vancouver Island. Now that is what I call service. I really appreciate such superb service from Projector Lamp Source. I have book marked you for any future requirements. You can't do better than that. Thanks so much.

I had a tv repairman come and check out my projection tv. He told me my lamp was shot. It lasted six years. He called me the next day and told me it would be almost $200 including shipping and tax.
I went on line and found PLS.
I purchased the lamp for $95. and received it in four days.
It took ten minuets to replace it and my tv is like new.
I am very satisfied with the service of PLS.
