Elite Screens, best known for high-value projection screen solutions, has announced that they're delving into the other side of the projector equation with the launch of an Elite Projector line. The first offering is an indoor/outdoor ultra-short throw projector being sold in a mobile cinema bundle that includes everything you need for portable outdoor movie viewing—sans the movie.
The bundle comes with one of two MosicGO outdoor projectors. The MosicGO Sport MGFU-S and the MosicGO Lite MGFU-L are both UST DLP projectors. They offer 1080p resolution (1920x1080), are rated for 1,000 ANSI lumens, and feature an Osram LED light engine with a 20,000-hour life. With an IP rating of IPX2, they are protected from dripping water when tilted up to 15 degrees, so any unexpected minor outdoor water mishap shouldn't be an issue.

For audio playback there are two internal 8W wireless stereo speakers that can act as wireless Bluetooth speakers for an external device. When plugged in, the two projector models can charge laptops or cellphones connected to the USB-C or USB-A ports. There are two HDMI 1.4 connections, a headphone out, and even a 12V trigger out.
The difference between the two projectors is a built-in battery in the Sport version that allows for power-cable free operation. A fully charged battery allows for up to 2.5 hours of video or 30 hours of music—plenty of time for an average length movie. Just be sure to plug in for Lord of the Rings or a Marvel marathon. The integrated battery in the MusicGO Sport can be used to charge mobile devices without being plugged into the wall.

The extremely short 0.3 throw ratio allows the projectors to be placed very close to the screen. At only 1.64 feet, they can project an 80-inch image, which is the max they are designed for. (The manual warns that an image larger than that could have corner distortion.) The bundle comes with a tripod for the projector, so you don't have to worry about setting up a separate table at the screen and alignment of the image is greatly simplified.
Speaking of the screen, a 16:9 Elite Screens Yard Master 2 OMS58H2 is included. It's a 58-inch diagonal screen with a lightweight aluminum frame made with Elite Screens' CineWhite 1.1 gain material with a black border. Designed for quick setup, the screen doesn't require any tools to get ready.
To keep everything safe when it's being transported or stored, carrying cases are included for the projector and projection screen. The bundle is covered by Elite Projector's 2-year manufacturer warranty plus an ENR-G 5-year extended warranty for educational, non-profit, religious, and government/military organizations.
The MosicGO Sport MGFU-S bundle goes for $1,299 while the MosicGO Lite MGFU-L is $999.
