Epson recently announced their new large-venue laser projector, the Pro L20000UNL (also available in white as the Pro L20002UNL). As with the entire Pro L series, the L20000UNL is a 3LCD projector and boasts up to 20,000 lumens (hence the name) of color and white light output. Thanks to a sealed laser light engine and electrostatic air filter, the L20000UNL needs virtually zero maintenance for up to 20,000 hours.
The L20000UNL joins an already robust line of large-venue projectors, including the L25000U and soon-to-be-released L30000U. It's a native WUXGA (1920x1200) resolution projector with Epson's 4K Enhancement Technology that accepts signals up to 4K, HDR10, and HLG. There's are integrated HDBaseT, 3G-SDI, 5-BNC, and VGA interfaces on-board. From the factory it includes a removable interface board with an HDMI and DVI-D input. An additional interface board can be added to increase connection potential.
To make multi-projector installation as easy as possible, the L20000UHL uses automated tilting assist, auto-color adjustment that matches color between projectors, and edge blending aided by included free software. The range of Epson lenses available for the Pro L series are compatible with the L20000UHL, including the ultra short throw ELPLX02 that has a 0.35 throw ratio and zero offset. With the included ELPLM15 lens, the L20000UHL has a throw ratio range of 1.57-2.56. To help with any fast moving images, the L20000UHL comes equipped with frame interpolation technology.
