SHARP INTRODUCES PORTABLE PROJECTOR SERIES DESIGNED FOR BUSINESS, EDUCATION AND MOBILE PRESENTERS
Enhanced performance in a smaller, compact unit
"Business and education professionals are constantly on the move, which requires a compact, portable projector that performs well and can travel as frequently as they do," said Bruce Pollack, associate director of marketing, Professional Display Division, Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America. "Our new XR series models are small and easy to use with an intuitive set-up, wide compatibility and connectivity – including an HDCP compliant DVI-D input for crisper, virtually noise-free images from digital sources, and excellent resolution that corporate presenters will appreciate."
Dazzling Images and Brightness for Any Lighting Environment
For precise image reproduction, the XR-40X and XR-30X have a native XGA (1024 x 768) resolution and the XR-30S has a native SVGA (800 x 600) resolution. The units can project a brilliant image in virtually any room or run almost any application with vibrant contrast ratios ranging from 2200:1 (XR-40X and XR-30X) to 2000:1 (XR-30S) for realistic black tones. The projectors can be used in virtually any lighting environment with brightness levels of 2600 ANSI Lumens on the XR-40X and 2300 ANSI Lumens on the XR-30X and XR-30S.
For superior color accuracy, the models incorporate a Condenser Lens Optical System that creates rich black tones and sharp on-screen images. A 3x speed 4-segment color wheel with an enhanced white color segment optimizes white level and brightness to help ensure that all projected images are uniform.
Portable and Easy-to-Use
Weighing just over six pounds, the new XR models are the perfect on-the-road presentation companion and can be carried easily from classroom to boardroom. Set-up is a snap with a faster start-up than traditional projectors and on-screen interactive help for operation assistance. To control the presentation's pace and appearance from anywhere in a room, the projector includes a full-function remote with PC control, on-screen break timer plus pointer, resize and image freeze functions. With the Direct Power Off feature, users can immediately unplug the projector and remove it from a location, and Auto Restart enables rapid restart after a power failure or for use in unattended displays. For a comfortable environment, a Front Exhaust prevents the disturbance of air being blown toward audiences. Additionally, the XR series features sealed optics that prevent dust, dirt and smoke from entering the optical assembly for reliable operation. The projectors' low power mode provides reduced fan noise (29 dB) and power consumption, making the projector both quiet and economical to operate.
The XR projectors display a crystal clear picture for an occasional home theater set-up or to show the big game in high definition at home. They offer HDTV/DTV compatibility for use with current and future video technologies as well as extensive connectivity. A high-quality scaler transforms TV signals into non-interlaced representation for a better picture. Inputs are provided for DVI-D digital computer with HDCP video for crisper, virtually noise-free projection from HDCP compliant digital video sources, an RGB or component source, S-video, composite video and stereo audio. Outputs include stereo variable audio line-out ("VAO") and RGB monitor loop-through. The models also feature an RS-232C port.
The models are backed by a one-year parts and labor limited warranty excluding the lamp; warranty on the user-replaceable projection lamp is 90 days.
