MITSUBISHI ANNOUNCES COST-EFFECTIVE, HIGH-¬BRIGHTNESS XD470U PROJECTOR
Instant Shut-Down Allows For Quick Exits
Mitsubishi's new high-brightness XD470U enable users to present in a myriad of lighting conditions, even in rooms with the lights on and window shades open. Instant shut-off lets users make rapid exits after a presentation, using a quick power-down feature to accommodate tight classroom or conference room schedules without damage to the projector
"Often times meeting rooms and classrooms are booked back-to-back and presenters need to pick up their materials and hardware and go," said Frank Anzures, product manager for Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America's Presentation Products Division. "The instant shut down capability in the XD470U helps presenters get back to their desks or on the road quickly."
For ceiling, tabletop or cart-mounted installations, the XD470U comes with a security hook for easy tethering and mounting to thwart potential thefts in higher-risk environments. The new projector also offers two PC inputs with a monitor loop-through for display flexibility, and is RS232c controllable for easy integration in environments using third party control systems.
Mitsubishi's XD470U projector uses DLP® technology for exceptional image quality and its advanced filter-free construction makes it resistant to dust, dirt and other particles for maintenance-free operation and image clarity. With a 2000:1 contrast ratio, the XD470U provides excellent detail for both video and PC viewing.
"Our line of DLP® projectors has been hugely successful," said James Chan, director of product marketing, Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America's Presentation Products Division. "The XD470U is the latest in a long line of excellent, high performance projectors using DLP technology."
Pricing, Availability, Warranty
The XD470U is currently shipping for a suggested retail price of $2,995. There will be a GSA-compliant version scheduled for shipping in July. The projector comes with Mitsubishi's three-year limited warranty on parts and labor, a 90-day limited warranty on the lamp and a 10,000-hour limited warranty on the DLP® Chip. Like all Mitsubishi XGA projectors, the XD470U is covered by the Express Replacement Assistance (ERA) Program, a nationwide comprehensive service that offers next business-day replacement for down units that are under warranty.
