Panasonic Debuts 5.7 Lb. PT-D7 XGA DLPtm Projector
Ultra-Lightweight Unit Offers Mobile Professionals Super Bright Projection
ORLANDO, FL (June 10, 1999) -- Panasonic Broadcast &
Television Systems Company (PBTSC) has announced the PT-D7, an ultra-portable,
high-performance XGA projector that offers superb image quality for computer
and video applications.
The projector's compact size and feather weight (5.7 pounds)
make it well-suited for mobile professionals to use in a wide variety of
environments, from large offices with multiple meeting rooms, to a training or
classroom settings.
Delivering impressive price-to-performance benefits, notably
true XGA resolution, the PT-D7 offers powerful features such as 800 ANSI lumens
of brightness with 500:1 high-contrast ratio, an 80% center-to-corner
brightness ratio and is equipped with an 2,000-hour long-life 120-watt P-VIP
lamp. For computer applications, the PT-D7 displays the optimal resolution of
1024 x 768 XGA.
The ultra-slim PT-D7 offers broad compatibility ranging from
PC and Macintosh computers to NTSC, M-NTSC, PAL and SECAM video signals, and is
capable of desktop, front or rear projection on screens ranging in size from
25" to 300". With an adjustable zoom and focus lens, the projector
can be set up almost anywhere in a room, and its remote control allows the user
total control and flexibility.
Other features include focus and zoom lens with cap for
protection during transport, RGB input/output, composite video (RCA) and
S-video inputs, selectable seven-language on-screen menu, and a full three-year
warranty on the projector and a 90-day warranty on the user-replaceable lamp
module.
The PT-D7 will be available in August at a suggested list
price of $8,995.
