EIKI LC-XGA980U & LC-SVGA870U High Brightness, Mid-Sized LCD Data/Video Projectors

LAKE FOREST, CA January 22, 1999 -- The next generation of EIKI portable projectors brings new brightness to presentations, in a sleek new cabinet that's equally at home in a fixed installation and on the road. Both the XGA and SVGA models utilize a new design of high efficiency lamp and high speed optics to pack more punch per pound than ever before in a portable projector.

The LC-SVGA870U provides 1250 ANSI Lumens at SVGA resolution. The LC-XGA980U adds a MicroLens Array in front of each LCD panel to pull more light through each pixel, and delivers a whopping 1400 ANSI Lumens at XGA resolution.

This new level of brightness is achieved without any compromise to image quality. Both projectors deliver in excess of 85% uniformity and a 300:1 contrast ratio, and provide up to a 300" diagonal (20' / 6m wide) picture at distances up to 46' (14 m).

These two, "new generation projectors", are compatible with computer refresh rates up to 100 Hz, and offer dot clocks of 130 MHz+ for workstation set-up simplicity. Smart compression/expansion adjusts higher or lower input resolutions to match the projector.

Most color standards of video input are supported by both projectors in Normal 4:3 and Widescreen 16:9 aspect ratios. And both projectors utilize video scaling technology to resize the video to fill the screen. Plus, 2 Watts RMS per side Stereo audio is built-in.

Both projectors include a preset anti-keystone image offset of 19:1, and offer reversed and inverted image orientation. And infrared remote projector and mouse control, plus full function local control and RS-232 control input are all standard.

EIKI is pleased to offer a 3 Year / 6,000 Hour * Projector Warranty plus a 6 Month / 1,000 Hour * Lamp Warranty for both the LC-XGA980U and LC-SVGA870U.

The new EIKI LC-XGA980U and LC-SVGA870U projectors will be available in February, 1999 at a Suggested List Prices of $11,995 and $8,495 respectively.
