Digital Projection supports the IBC's Le Nombre d'Or with a POWER 6sx
At IBC'99, Emmy award-winning company Digital Projection will be showing for the first time in Europe their new stunning high-brightness POWER Display 6sx projector, (1280x1024), at the 5th Le Nombre d'Or, Widescreen Production Festival.
The Festival was created in 1995 by IBC to encourage the spread of Widescreen production and to help accelerate the transition from the traditional 4:3 format to the Widescreen 16:9 format.
Digital Projection manufacture a range of projectors, from the new small lightweight and compact-chassis POWER 3 series, delivering 3000 ANSI lumens, to the remarkable LIGHTNING 15sx delivering over 12000 ANSI lumens, the Digital Projection Displays family now boasts a model for every large-screen application.
Each POWER & LIGHTNING Display unit utilises three DMD™ chips. By combining remarkable technologies including legendary video decoding from Faroudja Laboratories and advanced image resizing by Cintel, with their proprietary illumination technology, Digital Projection has created a range of digital projectors which combine exceptional imaging capabilities with truly simple operational simplicity. Providing a palette of over a billion colours, absolute greyscale tracking and luminance uniformity greater than 90%.
The POWER & LIGHTNING Displays produce stunning images of brilliance and clarity, with a seamless quality and depth of colour that makes it almost indistinguishable from film. The projectors have quietly been making their way into widespread use in private screening rooms, post-production houses, live events and televised award shows like the Academy Awards and Grammys.
Besides Le Nombre d'Or, Digital Projection can be seen in action at IBC on the booths of: QuVis (Booth 921 Hall 7), Cintel (Booth 112 Hall 6) and Quantel (Booth 212 Hall 1).
