Bretford Bolsters Video Projection Screen Offering With New 4:3 and 16:9 Models

Press Release  |  Feb 27, 2009

Projector affordability increasing need for accomodating screens

CHICAGO – February 27, 2009 – With video projector use on the rise in schools and businesses, Bretford Manufacturing, Inc. is bolstering its video screen line with the addition of six new 4:3 and 16:9 format Video View wall mounted projection screens. The new screens, which are currently available for order, are part of Bretford’s Basics brand technology furniture family.

“We’re seeing more video projectors being used in schools and businesses because there are so many affordable varieties available today,” said Jim Fisher, product manager for Bretford Manufacturing, Inc. “While the large high-definition video images can make any lesson or presentation more interesting, these projectors require screens that can properly accommodate their image size.”

The new 4:3 TV-Shape Video View models are calibrated to the standard TV size so viewers see an image that looks correct, whether they’re in a classroom or a conference room. They are available in diagonal sizes of 102", 115" and 145". The 16:9 Theater-Shape Video View screens are ideal for high definition projectors. This widescreen option is also great for movie viewing in large lecture halls and auditoriums. The 16:9 screens come in diagonal sizes of 94", 106" and 133". Several of the models include a “slow retrieve” safety feature to keep the fabric from “snapping up” into the case. The new screens have a 1.0 gain for the best all around viewing surface.

The new screens join Bretford’s existing line of Basics brand projection screens, which include manual screens, tripod screens, auditorium screens, electric screens, road show presentation screens and tabletop projection screens.
