Polaroid Announces New Portable XGA LCD Projector
CAMBRIDGE, Mass., -- Sept. 28, 1999 – Polaroid Corporation (NYSE: PRD) today announced a new high-performance, portable liquid crystal display (LCD) projector for highly mobile professionals. Combining the brightness of a conference room projector with the weight of a portable projector, the Polaroid Polaview 340 delivers brightness of 1400 ANSI lumens and offers a larger projected image at a shorter distance -- an important feature for use in smaller rooms.
Weighing just 14.1 pounds, the Polaview 340 offers a true XGA resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels, making it an ideal tool for spreadsheets, detailed images or any application where the sharpness and fidelity of XGA is needed.
The new projector is compatible with multiple input devices, including S-video, stereo audio, computer and composite video. Audio and RGB monitor output connections are also provided, as well as a PC card adapter (PCMCIA-ATA Type II) for computer-free presentations. Featuring a wireless remote control with an integrated laser pointer, the Polaview 340 user can operate the projector and mouse easily from a distance of up to 23 feet away. Additionally, the projector provides plug-and-play simplicity and automatic set up for both PC and Macintosh operating systems.
The Polaview 340 is ideal for demanding, portable projection needs, offering ideal performance for anyone delivering presentations, product demonstrations or training sessions in an array of applications, including sales, business, scientific, engineering, education, medical and government/defense.
