Press Release  |  Nov 9, 1999

New Networkable LP™770 Projector Fulfills Every Presentation Need

Wilsonville, Ore., November 9, 1999 -- InFocus® (NASDAQ: INFS), the worldwide market leader in data/video projectors, today announced the latest addition to its award-winning product line: the InFocus LP770. The LCD LP770 is the brightest and most versatile projector in its class and ships with InFocus' new LightPort software, which enables web-based projector management. With the introduction of this projector, InFocus demonstrates its dedication to delivering a full line of projectors that serve the varied needs of today's presenters.

The InFocus LP770 delivers excellent image quality and extreme brightness with 2000 lumens, true XGA resolution and advanced polysilicon LCD technology. The LP770 provides innovative features, such as; picture-in-picture capabilities and dual inputs – two computer, two video to support the most complex multimedia, multi-source presentations. Digital magnifier and electronic keystone correction create perfect image shape and size in every presentation situation.

"Customers are looking for a multi-purpose projector that can be easily transported from room to room," said Amar Samra, InFocus director of product management. "With its premium features, easy portability and extreme brightness, the LP770 delivers the versatility and quality our customers are demanding."

The LP770 ships standard with 30-day trial of InFocus' LightPort software, an innovative program that gives IT professionals the ability to access and manage InFocus conference room projectors through their corporate network, similar to a network printer. LightPort also allows remote users to view or deliver a presentation on an InFocus projector using a web browser.

LightPort also makes InFocus projectors available to everyone in the organization, not just those with laptops. Presentations can now be sent to a LightPort-enabled projector anywhere on the network, eliminating the need to bring the presentation into the room on a portable PC. In addition, LightPort lets users transmit presentations to meeting participants at remote locations for simultaneous viewing through a web browser. It also allows a presenter to deliver a presentation on a LightPort-enabled projector from a remote location, through a web browser.

The InFocus LP770 will be available in November at a MRSP of USD $11,999. LightPort is available for USD $699.
