NEC Technologies Launches One Touch Set-Up, Full-Featured MultiSync LCD Projector Series
ITASCA, Ill., Nov. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Building on its expertise in conference room projection, NEC Technologies, Inc. today announced the availability of the new MultiSync(R) MT40(TM) Series of LCD projectors. The new series, designed and manufactured by NEC Technologies for limitless projection needs ranging from permanent installations to portable applications, includes the MultiSync MT840(TM), MultiSync MT1040(TM) and the MultiSync MT1045(TM). According to Mike Santiago, director of marketing for the Visual Systems Division of NEC Technologies, "The introduction of the new MT40 Series strengthens our commitment to customers as their manufacturer of choice for the world's most complete line of visual presentation solutions wrapped around the strongest service programs in the industry." The MT40 Series allows users to expand beyond traditional "conference room" usage to include such venues as boardrooms, classrooms and training rooms. Whether it's a government, business or education setting, these full-featured projectors give users the projection power and versatility they need for a broader range of applications. The MT840, MT1040 and MT1045 offer 1,500, 1,300 and 2,000 ANSI lumens respectively -- a significant increase in brightness over the current product line -- to allow for complete conference room usage even with the lights on. The MT840 produces SVGA native resolution, while the MT1040 and MT1045 garner XGA native resolution. At slightly more than 12 pounds each, the new projectors each weigh 25 percent less than the previous generation, to yield a more streamlined, professional-looking chassis that can easily fit into tight spaces.
Easy to Use, View and Choose "We've met customer demands for a lightweight projector that is small in size and big in performance," said Don Fasick, product marketing manager for the Visual Systems Division of NEC Technologies. "With a MultiSync MT40 Series projector, users are guaranteed a selection of products that are first in features, innovation, reliability and service." Some of the exclusive performance characteristics of the new series include:
-- AutoSense(TM) Technology: Created to automatically synchronize and adjust the projector to optimize incoming Video, S-Video, RGB, YcbCr Component and HDTV computer and video signals, AutoSense further increases the projectors' flexibility by allowing it to be used on multiple platforms. -- Advanced AccuBlend(TM) Technology: Since the success of any projector ultimately lies in its image quality, Advanced AccuBlend technology provides true low- and high-resolution scaled images through an intelligent pixel blending system. This system also applies +/- digital keystone correction to adjust for image distortion, resulting in perfectly square screen images. -- Built-in PC Card Viewer: Lightening the load of the executive on the run, the PC Card viewer allows users to download presentations and commonly used images to a PC Card and leave the notebook at home. All users need to do is simply insert the card into viewer slot and turn on the projector. -- Accessory Lenses: NEC Technologies offers the widest range of high quality lenses that deliver excellent image quality for rear projection and short throw environments, further maximizing the projector's use.
"Combine these advancements with the inclusion of the one-touch source and adjustment controls and users have a top-of-the-line, quality projector that is simple use, view and choose," said Fasick. "In addition, the new series is backed by our complete InstaCare(R), InstaCare Xpress(SM) and TravelCare(SM) warranty programs that exceed the level of service and support today's professionals have come to expect from their presentation solutions providers." Two years of InstaCare coverage comes standard with each projector, giving customers the assurance of 72-hour repair and return service or overnight replacement. NEC Technologies covers overnight delivery to and from the customer in both the United States and Canada. When time matters most, InstaCare Xpress, provides a "next available flight" replacement option. Finally, TravelCare allows any MultiSync MT40 series customer to receive warranty service on their projector when traveling internationally, regardless of where the projector was originally purchased.
Pricing and Availability The MultiSync MT40 Series projectors will begin shipping in November and are available through NEC Technologies' nationwide network of authorized ProAV dealers and PC resellers. MSRP for the new projectors starts at $7,395 for the MT840, $9,995 for the MT1040 and $12,995 for the MT1045.
