SIM2 breaks through in Digital Home Theatre with the new SDV100
A Portable Single Chip DLP for Home Theater
Pordenone, Italy, November 30th 1999 – SIM2 Multimedia, a world leader in three tube projection for Home Theatre, announced today the availability early in December, of their first DLP™-based projector for Home Theatre, the SDV100.
The SDV100 is a milestone addition to the company's successful three-tube range for Home Theatre, since it is the first portable by SIM2 to be based on the Digital Light Processing technology (DLP™) by Texas Instruments.
The mono-chip projector is going to reinforce the extremely positive results obtained by the high-brightness SDV1300 (the first three-chip projector for Home Theatre with a price tag below 30,000 USD) and SDV2200, whose overall performance in colour temperature, grey scale tracking and ease of set-up have been praised by reviews such as the American Home Theater Magazine in March 1999.
The SDV100 throws crisp, colour-true pictures, obtained by a special-purpose colour wheel ensuring optimum results in video playback. Picture resolution and brightness, coupled with super high contrast, which delivers unbeatable results also in projecting computer signals.
All of this comes in a sexy casing in a modern, aggressive colour, with built-in audio and a handy, customisable remote control.
