New Panasonic Portable PT-L758U XGA Projector Offers Super Bright 2500 ANSI Lumens of Output
Sleek, Compact LCD Projector the Brightest in its Class
LOS ANGELES, CA (January 2000) -- Panasonic Broadcast & Television Systems Company (PBTSC) has introduced the PT-L758U portable XGA LCD projector, the latest in the company's popular line of ultra-bright lightweight projectors.
With a 220-Watt UHM lamp that delivers 2500 ANSI lumens of brightness, the PT-L758U is the brightest projector in the portable projector class (projectors weighing between 10 to 20 pounds). Weighing only 14 pounds, this high-impact projector supports native XGA resolution and features a high contrast ratio of more than 250:1. The PT-L758U's sophisticated digital image processing techniques assures excellent picture quality when compressing or expanding images of non-native resolution.
The PT-L758U offers the remarkably high center-to-corner uniformity ratio of 95%. It displays a native resolution of 1024 X 768 XGA, with a maximum resolution of 1280 x 1024 SXGA, allowing it to project more detailed computer images and graphics--including web pages--from the most popular notebook computers. This unit is equipped with a 2,000-hour long-life 220-watt UHM lamp, which combines with Micro Lens Array (MLA) to give the PT-L758U its exceptional brightness. The PT-L758U comes standard with an integrated remote control that has built-in mouse function and laser pointer, allowing the presenter total control during his presentation.
For convenient PC-less presentations, the projector offers a user-friendly PCMCIA Card slot with powerful slide management software that supports one-touch screen capture as well as the ability to perform unattended, self-running, continuous-play presentations. The powerful slide management software not only helps convert slides of most presentation packages into usable JPEG slides, it also can sort, move, delete and archive more than 100 images in one single PC card, allowing it be used for multiple presentations.
The projector's ability to intelligently resize the image is integrated for VGA/SVGA/SXGA/Mac displays, assuring smooth outlines and outstanding picture definition with all types of images--even DTV signals from HDTV sources. The PT-L758U accepts input of both YPbPr component signals and conventional RCA composite connectors, so the projector can display images from sources ranging from digital video (DV) camcorders and DVD players to S-VHS/VHS VCRs.
Designed for worldwide use, the PT-L758U is compatible with PC and Macintosh computers, and accepts NTSC, SECAM and PAL video signals. The PT-L758U is capable of front or rear projection on screens ranging in size from 20" - 300", and can also display NTSC images in the 16:9 aspect ratio.
Other invaluable features include one-touch auto setup, plug-and-play compatibility with PCs, manual zoom and focus lens, RGB input/output, S-video input, selectable 7-language on-screen menu, security lock system, status code indicator, warning indication for lamp replacement, Universal AC power supply, RS-232C computer interface, mute freeze for video and RGB, detachable carrying handle, and a full three-year warranty on the projector and a 90-day warranty on the user-replaceable lamp module.
The PT-L758U is available at a suggested list price of $10,995.00.
