Casio Puts a New Face on Digital Signage
Lamp-Free Technology Allows Maximum Flexibility for Lifelike Virtual Presenter
LAS VEGAS, NV (MARCH 6, 2012) – Casio America, Inc., the pioneers of the LASER & LED Hybrid Light Source and lamp-free projection, will be showcasing technology that will attract audiences without the need for live greeters – the Virtual Presenter. Today, Casio’s Virtual Presenter will welcome visitors to its booth during the Digital Signage Expo at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Booth #344.
Casio’s Virtual Presenter system combines a discreet projector with a specially designed 3M screen that has been cut to look like a live presenter. As a result, a realistic virtual presenter captivates visitors by speaking and engaging as a live presenter would.
One of the biggest projector challenges in commercial spaces has been the frequency and costs associated with bulb replacement. Casio’s line of Signature projectors provides the lowest cost of ownership in the industry. Casio’s lamp-free projectors now have a life expectancy of up to 20,000 hours and a warranty of up to 5 years.
“When done right, digital signage grabs people and draws them in,” said Matt Mustachio, general manager of Casio’s Business Projector Division. “Casio’s Virtual Presenter offers a unique way to make audiences feel welcome and deliver content in a more personal manner than simple words or images. This technology is only limited by the number of applications that designers can imagine using it.”
The Virtual Presenter can be used in any environment including a room with abundant ambient light. Casio’s Hybrid Light Source offers 3,000 lumen brightness; it is one of the brightest projectors available today. When using a virtual presenter it’s important to portray as life-like of an image as possible. Casio’s signature series show 50% more of the spectrum, relative to projectors with traditional mercury lamps. Brighter images, more accurate renditions, subtle shadings and the ability to project horizontally and vertically ensures easy portability and travel, which allows the Virtual Presenter to be placed just about anywhere.
Casio anticipates demand for the Virtual Presenter in a variety of settings. It never requires a lunch break, so it can consistently perform in selling environments including trade shows, retail or banking. The personality that the Virtual Presenter conveys makes it welcoming in hospitality environments such as hotels or casinos, and since it flawlessly delivers complex information, the Virtual Presenter can earn high grades in educational environments including museums, classrooms or visitor centers.
“Imagine a cut-out of Dr. Martin Luther King delivering the ‘I have a dream’ speech to students in a museum,” said Mustachio from Casio. “Or think how compelling a virtual greeter would be in a hospital, conveying important information during the stressful check-in process. The possibilities for the Virtual Presenter are endless.
All this supports Dynamic Merchandising to engage your customers and enhance your business in an attention-grabbing manner. Low cost of ownership and brightness with a full color gamut makes this display system a winning combination.
