Press Release  |  May 23, 2000

CP-S220W Offers Highest Quality Features at Affordable Price

BRISBANE, Calif., www.hitachi.com, May 23, 2000 – Hitachi America, Ltd., today announced a revolutionary new addition to its superior LCD multimedia projector suite, the five-pound CP-S220W. One of the most cost-effective units in its class, the CP-S220W offers maximum image output and quality in a small footprint. The CP-S220W will debut at INFOCOMM 2000 in Anaheim, CA on June 15 - June 17, 2000.

The CP-S220W is priced at $4,295.00 and will be available in August via Hitachi's network of nationwide resellers.

Featuring a uniquely slim and lightweight design, the CP-S220W has a remarkably short projection throw producing a 60-inch diagonal image from five feet to the screen. This feature allows the presenter to have a large projected image even in rooms with limited space. In addition, the CP-S220W offers crisp, clear images and low background noise, making it the solution of choice for any and all presentation needs, including mobile presentations, boardroom meetings, home use and small office-home office applications. The CP-S220W is the first Hitachi LCD projector to offer unmatched features, quality and price in an ultra-portable case.

"Hitachi continues to set the stage for the ultra-portable LCD projector market," said Pete Denes, national sales manager of Hitachi America, Ltd., Computer Division, Multimedia Products. "The CP-S220W offers an unparalleled combination of features and options in a compact design, reinforcing Hitachi's commitment to its wide corporate and consumer customer base."

At 800 lumens, the CP-S220W weighs five pounds and has a thickness of 2.4 inches.
