NEC Technologies' New MultiSync(R) Microportable Projectors Place Presentations in the Palm of Your Hand
Sleek 3.3-Pound Design and Built-In Presentation Viewer Lighten Load for 'on the GO!' Presentations; Exceptional Data and Video Quality Increase Flexibility and Effectiveness
ITASCA, Ill., June 15 - Presentations can now be placed in the palm of your hand thanks to NEC Technologies, Inc.'s sleekly designed, feature-rich microportable projectors, the MultiSync LT85(TM) and LT150(TM). The latest addition to the company's "GO! Series" of products, the new projectors were specifically developed for busy professionals who require mobile presentation tools to create lasting impressions. Stunning data and video image display, ease-of-use and true portability without a laptop place the LT85 and LT150 at the top of the elite microportable projector category.
"The LT85 and LT150 microportable projectors are ideal for the traveling presenter, such as a consultant, sales representative or trainer, who relies on the smooth, dynamic delivery of visual content as critical to their professional success. This type of individual is often challenged with delivering information in multiple formats -- from PowerPoint(R) to video --all in one presentation," said Bob Guentner, product marketing manager for the Visual Systems Division of NEC Technologies. "Not only are the new projectors small enough to fit in a purse or briefcase, they are a snap to set up, and offer a range of display sources that can easily operate in almost any environment."
On the 'GO' with Exclusive NEC Technologies Features
Approximately the size of a traditional day planner, the MultiSync LT85 and LT150 weigh only 3.3 pounds and offer SVGA and XGA native resolutions, respectively. Both projectors provide 800 ANSI lumens of brightness, an 800:1 contrast ratio and utilize a reflective, single- chip Digital Light Processing(TM) (DLP(TM)) technology from Texas Instruments.
The MultiSync LT85 and LT150 incorporate VORTEX Technology(TM), the first complete display enhancement system designed to change the way the world views projected images. The new technology provides data and graphic displays with superior uniformity, color and contrast, and video displays with greater depth, detail, brighter whites and more realistic colors. "This translates to the exchange of information that is more eye-catching and memorable," explained Guentner, who added that users don't need to worry about product obsolescence as the new projectors come equipped with broad computer compatibility and are also HDTV-compatible.
The MultiSync LT85 and LT150 projectors offer a built-in Presentation Viewer, which enables users to download their presentations directly to the projector and leave the laptop at home. By eliminating the need for a computer, users are spared the customary cable struggle and traditional computer-boot delay when setting up for a presentation, thereby allowing more time for information exchange, which is of particular importance when time is of the essence.
If presenters choose to include a laptop in their presentations, NEC Technologies' AutoSense(TM) Technology guarantees a simple set-up by locking onto the source material and immediately displaying the best image possible. Furthermore, Advanced AccuBlend(TM) Intelligent Pixel Blending Technology provides detailed and focused non-native resolution source display (VGA-SXGA). For even more flexibility, the MultiSync LT85 and LT150 incorporate a USB input to give users the option of connecting a USB mouse to operate the menu system and make on-screen Chalkboard(TM) annotations during the presentation.
Complete Service and Support Program
The MultiSync LT85 and LT150 are backed by NEC Technologies' complete InstaCare(R), InstaCare Xpress(SM) and TravelCare(SM) warranty programs that exceed the level of service and support today's professionals have come to expect from their presentation solutions providers. Two years of InstaCare coverage comes standard with each projector, giving users the assurance of replacement in one business day with delivery to and from the customer in both the United States and Canada, or repair and return service in three business days. When time matters most, InstaCare Xpress provides customers with a "next available flight" replacement option. Finally, TravelCare allows any MultiSync LT85 or LT150 customer to receive warranty service on their projector when traveling internationally, regardless of where the projector was originally purchased.

The MultiSync LT85 and LT150 will begin shipping in the fall of 2000 and will be available through the NEC Technologies nationwide network of both professional AV and PC channel partners.
