Sony Expands Line of Laser Projectors With New 7000 Lumen Model
Both models deliver WUXGA resolution (1920 x 1200), instant on/off, tilt-angle-free design, edge blending, wide range vertical/horizontal lens shift, advanced geometric correction, and up to 20,000 hours of maintenance-free operation. The FHZ700L also offers integration flexibility, with multiple interfaces, and seven optional lenses.
Using Sony’s new laser light source technology, The VPL-FHZ700L packs all of the benefits of vivid color 3LCD technology with a long-life laser light source, for easier operations than conventional lamp-based projection.
The 20,000 hours of light source replacement time translates to a substantial savings in time and money, reducing the costs normally associated with bulb replacement. This also means that staff can avoid the risk of climbing scaffolding and ladders to perform maintenance on lamps and filters.
The 7,000 lumens with 3LCD color brightness delivers images with vivid, natural color and the projector provides near instantaneous power on/off and a constant brightness mode for long time constant projection – ideal for busy meeting rooms and classrooms, auditoriums and large venues.
Sony’s laser light source projectors offer unique capabilities that other technologies can’t, such as tilt angle free installation. Integrators that want to get creative and change the way they present video images can have unlimited possibilities with a laser-based projector. For example, they can roll the projector 360° clockwise or counterclockwise, including portrait or landscape orientation, and still get a stable, clear projected image. An optional slot-in HDBaseT board will be available for the VPL-FHZ700L, enabling easier connectivity and reducing total system costs by using fewer cables, signal extenders and receiver boxes and decreasing the risk of failure points.
The VPL-FHZ700L is planned to be available in September 2014. The VPL-FHZ55 is currently available. Contact Sony for pricing.
