Toshiba Makes Corporate Presentations More Fun With Special Limited Edition TLP B2 Micro-Portable Projectors in Five Colors
WAYNE, N.J., June 15, 2000 - Toshiba is making presentations a bit less formal and a lot more fun with its family line of colorful, micro-portable projectors.
The TLP B2 models come in five exciting colors (Red Metallic, Blue Metallic, Green Metallic, Champagne Gold and Silver), and represent the first full family of colorful projectors in the industry. In addition, the TLP B2 models are Toshiba's smallest projectors ever. Weighing in at just 5.8 pounds, the TLP B2's offer true XGA resolution, along with a brightness level of 1000 ANSI lumens-up to 25 percent brighter than any other portable projector in its weight class. In common with all Toshiba portable LCD projectors, TLP B2 models utilize advanced glass and lens technologies for unsurpassed image reproduction quality, and includes a host of convenience features that make it easy to deliver great presentations anywhere.
"The introduction of our new TLP B2 projectors mark a major step forward for the road warrior," noted Sam Malik, Director of National Sales and Marketing, Multimedia Products Group. "There are simply no other projectors on the market, in this weight and size, that combine brightness and picture quality with the stylistic addition of multiple colors. Now, anyone can add an element of style and fun to presentations."
Measuring only 9.1" W x 10.7" D x 2.8" H, the Toshiba TLP B2 LCD projectors are designed as the ultimate "go anywhere" multimedia projectors. The TLP B2's provide a full complement of video and stereo audio inputs including RGB, S-video and composite video inputs, for total connection flexibility with all video sources. TLP B2 projectors deliver outstanding image quality, thanks to advanced 0.9-inch polysilicon LCDs and premium-quality lens array. The projectors' credit card-sized remote control provides convenient operation of all functions.
To ensure compatibility with all computers and workstations in all resolution modes, TLP B2's reproduce full XGA and SVGA resolutions. To further enhance picture quality, TLP B2 projectors employ a unique video compression technology called T-ForcMK2, which significantly improves image quality in all display modes. T-ForcMK2 technology uses sophisticated digital video interpolation and compression techniques to eliminate jagged edges and produce images of unprecedented smoothness and clarity, while re-sizing different display resolutions to fill the projection screen without the need for manual adjustment.
Ideal for use with all PC and Macintosh computers, VCRs, camcorders and DVD-Video players, the new TLP B2 models display images in sizes ranging from just 22 inches (diagonal measurement) for small-room presentations to pictures over 20 feet in size for large audiences.
The full family of colorful TLP B2 projectors will be available in August through Toshiba professional A/V dealers and selected PC channel distributors at a suggested retail price of $6,495.00.
