DarkStar® 9 Offers More Performance Options to Ambient Light Rejecting Projection Screens

Garden Grove, Calif., Dec. 4, 2014 - Elite Prime Vision, the dedicated CI division of Elite Screens Inc. has announced the launch of the DarkStar 9. This product is intended to help EPV cater to a broader demographic of integrators in need of an Ambient Light Rejecting Projection Screen.

The Darkstar® 9 ALR dedicated CI projection screen was developed to actively reflect a projected image with enhanced color performance while preventing (indirect) ambient light from “washing out” the picture. Its .9 gain format tones down the reflective brightness so that it may present an even wider viewing angle and greater color temperature performance levels. Although both DS materials boast D65 color neutrality, the DarkStar® 9 sacrifices the extra brightness to have its color balance always within the coveted SPMTE .004 standard while its wide color gamut exceeds the REC. 709 color graph.

The DarkStar 9 is the latest in Elite Prime Vision's line of Ambient Light Rejecting Projection Screens (eg. DarkStar 1.4, PolarStar, eFinity). All this demonstrates EPV’s standing commitment to providing integrators with a complete list of solutions ideally suited to each installation.
