PANASONIC PT-L759U PORTABLE XGA PROJECTOR OFFERS ONE-TOUCH AUTO SETUP WITH DIGITAL KEYSTONE CORRECTIONSleek, Compact Unit Delivers 2500 ANSI Lumens of Brightness
ANAHEIM, CA (June 15, 2000) -- Panasonic Broadcast & Television Systems Company (Los Angeles, CA) has introduced the PT-L759U portable XGA LCD projector, the newest addition to the company's popular line of ultra-bright lightweight projectors.
Weighing 13 pounds, the PT-L759U is equipped with a 2,000-hour long-life 220-watt UHM lamp, which combines with a Micro Lens Array (MLA) to give the projector its exceptional brightness of 2,500 ANSI lumens. The projector displays a native resolution of 1024 x 768 XGA, with a maximum resolution of 1600 x 1200 UXGA, allowing it to project more detailed computer images, text and graphics -- including web pages -- from the most popular notebook computers. This unit features a high contrast ratio of more than 250:1, and a remarkably high center-to-corner uniformity ratio of 95%.
When expanding or compressing images other than XGA, the projector's intelligent image resizing circuit assures smooth outlines and outstanding picture definition for VGA/SVGA/SXGA/UXGA/Mac display as well as all types of video images. The PT-L759U is DTV-ready with the ability to display 1080i, 720p, 480p and 480i video.
The PT-L759U features one-touch auto set-up to tune and adjust the image for optimal viewing. Its Digital Keystone Correction capability allows users to easily correct for keystone distortion. This high-impact projector comes standard with an all-in-one wireless remote control with built-in mouse control, arrow key control and laser pointer, allowing the presenter full control during the presentation.
The unit features digital variable compression — a convenient feature for long-throw projection because it reduces the size of the projected image from x1.0 to x0.6, eliminating the need to use a long-throw (tele) conversion lens.
Designed for international use, the PT-L759U is compatible with PC and Macintosh computers, and accepts NTSC, M-NTSC, SECAM, PAL, PAL-M and PAL-N video signals. The projector is capable of front, rear, desktop or ceiling mount projection on screens ranging in size from 20"- 300", and can also display NTSC images in the 16:9 aspect ratio. The projector accepts input of both YPbPr component signals and is equipped with conventional RCA composite connectors to display images from sources ranging from digital video camcorders to DVD players to S-VHS/VHS VCRs.
Additional valuable features include a digital zoom, two sets of RGB inputs, USB input, S-video compatibility, selectable 6-language on-screen menu, security lock system, status code indicator, warning indication for lamp replacement, Universal AC power supply, RS-232C computer interface, mute/freeze for video and RGB, and a detachable carrying handle.
Panasonic offers a high level of service and support with a three-year warranty on the projector, a 90-day warranty on the user-replaceable lamp module and a 24-hour projector exchange program.
The PT-L759U is available this month at a suggested list price of $10,995.
