NEW 3M PROJECTORS OFFER BRIGHTER SOLUTIONS WITHOUT SACRIFICING VERSATILITY

Press Release  |  Sep 11, 2000

Feature-Rich Multimedia Projectors Light Up Any Size Room

AUSTIN, TEXAS, September 11, 2000 – 3M Visual Systems Division, the leading supplier in group communications and productivity solutions, today announced the availability of two new powerful projectors that offer outstanding performance in virtually any room setting, including large conference rooms and small auditoriums.

Based on 3M's successful MP8745 projector, the feature-rich 3M™ Multimedia Projector MP8755 and the 3M Multimedia Projector MP8770 deliver vivid 1,800 and 2,200 ANSI lumens respectively of on-screen brightness along with high-quality XGA resolution. The optional short- and long-throw lenses maintain power zoom and focus, making these projectors versatile at any position in the room.

Equipped with the latest in presentation technology, the MP8755 and MP8770 include picture-in-picture, intelligent image scaling, Digital Keystone Correction and VirtualMouse remote control. Three input channels are available for the simultaneous connection of two computers and a video signal for true plug-and-play flexibility. Weighing only 13 pounds, these feature-packed projectors are still light enough to carry around the office or on the road.

"Our customers loved the 3M MP8745. But we realized many of them required brighter solutions for larger rooms and auditoriums," said John Griffiths, business unit manager for 3M Electronic Projection Systems. "So we enhanced the 3M MP8745 and we now offer two additional projectors specifically designed to meet the needs of our customers."
