INFOCUS ADDS VALUE-PRICED SVGA PROJECTOR TO ITS ENTRY-LEVEL MOBILE PRODUCT LINE

LP260 is the Ideal Personal Projection Tool for the Budget Conscious User

Wilsonville, Ore., October 18, 2000 - InFocus Corporation (NASDAQ:INFS, OSE:IFC), the worldwide leader in digital projection, today introduced the InFocus LP260 projector - the perfect solution for new users transitioning from the outdated world of slides, overheads and printouts to projectors. Without sacrificing quality, the LP260 offers an affordable presentation tool for those on a tight budget. Like other members of InFocus' industry-leading family of digital projectors, the LP260 easily connects with a desktop or notebook computer and displays text, graphics, spreadsheets and video with bright, clear images that add power to any presentation.

"New users couldn't make a smarter, more economical choice than the LP260," said Pierre Richer, director of mobile products, InFocus Corporation. "This entry-level projector delivers excellent value, offering the same high quality and reliability that distinguishes the entire InFocus product line."

The low weight and cost of the LP260 create a projector that meets the presentation needs - image, features and value - of mobile presenters, educators and notebook users on a tight budget. Weighing 5.5 pounds, the LP260 features SVGA resolution and more than 700 ANSI lumens. In addition, it offers VGA, RCA and S-Video connectors allowing for increased functionality and enabling the LP260 to project images from a variety of sources, including computers and other audio/video devices. The internal speaker and stereo input jacks also ensure that presentations are heard as well as seen.

"Affordability and high quality are always objectives we strive to provide for our customers," said Richer. "The LP260 offers the basic functionality of a data/video projector at a price for the budget conscious. With the LP260 users can instantly access their data at any time, allowing them to change their presentation minutes before - or even during - an important meeting."

The LP260 has an anticipated Street Price of $2,999 and will be available in November 2000.
