Proxima DP9260+, DP9280 and PRO AV 9350 projectors meet a range of installation needs, from boardrooms to training rooms, churches to lecture halls
SAN DIEGO, Calif. - November 6, 2000 - InFocus Corporation(r) (NASDAQ: INFS; OSE: IFC), the worldwide leader in digital projection, today launched a trio of Proxima-branded systems projectors: Proxima DP9260+, Proxima DP9280 and Proxima PRO AV 9350. Proxima systems products deliver superior performance and image quality for a wide range of applications in large meeting rooms, auditoriums and other facilities. These new Proxima projectors are specifically designed to help system integrators, AV consultants, facilities managers and architects meet the requirements of increasingly demanding end users.
With professional features, true XGA (1024 x 768) resolution and 700:1 high-contrast ratio, all three Proxima LCD projectors offer an exciting new imaging technology that provides a remarkably brighter image and a cleaner, crisper display. The projectors also include Proxima's V-Scan(tm) digital video technology for the sharpest video image available from an LCD projector, and offer ease of installation with a Proxima ProjectionLink(tm) connectivity option plus lens options for added flexibility in projector placement.

Proxima DP9260+
Great for large, fully lit conference rooms, board rooms and classrooms, the Proxima DP9260+ projector provides clear and crisp images with 2500 ANSI lumens, Fit-to-View(r) digital scaling and digital keystone correction that offers a square image whether the projector is placed high or low. An enhanced version of the Proxima DP9260 projector, the DP9260+ features increased brightness, a significantly higher contrast ratio and a selection of optional short- and long-throw lenses. For ease of installation, the DP9260+ will offer as an option Proxima's ProjectionLink internal connectivity solution. This projector also provides sharp component, composite and S-video images, as well as HDTV-ready formatting that will be compatible with current and future standards. The MSRP for the DP9260+ is US$10,999.
Proxima DP9280
For high quality video, supreme connectivity and a remarkable high contrast ratio, the Proxima DP9280 is an ideal projection solution for large conference rooms, training rooms and small auditoriums, along with rental and staging businesses. At the high end of Proxima's desktop projector line-up, this product offers a host of professional features including 5-BNC (RGBHV) connections for high-end installation, power lens shift system for hassle-free vertical image adjustment and three optional short- and long-throw lenses for superior flexibility in projector installation. The DP9280 will capture audience attention with 3000 ANSI lumens of brightness and excellent video images, while the component input for DVD, HDTV and DVI provide superior source connectivity. The MSRP for the Proxima DP9280 is US$12,999.
Proxima PRO AV 9350
Proxima's first 5,000-lumen product, the PRO AV 9350 offers brilliant images for any large venue. This performance-packed, value-priced LCD projector offers a 700:1 high contrast ratio and brightness that has previously been offered only in larger, more expensive projectors, without sacrificing image quality or technical advancements. Featuring LCD reliability and ease of setup and use, it's the perfect choice for the rental and staging industry, as well as large venue applications in education, business and church environments. A vertical and horizontal lens shift system provides easy image adjustments, and exceptional video is offered with 5-BNC (RGBHV) connections and Proxima's V-Scan digital video technology. For maximum flexibility in any installation, the PRO AV 9350 offers six optional lenses, modular input design for easy site customization and a DVI/I input for a total digital interface. Warranties and Availability
The Proxima DP9260+, DP9280 and PRO AV 9350 projectors all come with the security of a 90-day (or 500-hour) limited lamp warranty plus two year warranty on parts and labor. It is anticipated that all three projectors will be available in the Americas in December 2000 through authorized Proxima audio visual resellers and others.
