InFocus Previews Home Entertainment Projection Solutions at Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 5, 2001--InFocus(R) Corp. (Nasdaq:INFS)(OSE:IFC), the worldwide leader in digital projection, will preview a new line of projectors designed for the home entertainment market at CES in Las Vegas January 6-9.
Designed for the living room -- instead of the boardroom -- InFocus' approach to the home market is unique. The company's concept-projectors will showcase home decor-friendly design, and exceptional video quality and picture contrast. Using InFocus' ProjectionLink technology, the systems will also offer simple, single-wire connectivity to any image source, including: standard TV, HDTV, VCR, DVD player, digital camera and personal computer. All at a lower cost and better price/performance than traditional home theater projection alternatives.
InFocus' home entertainment projectors incorporate advanced Digital Light Proccessing(TM) (DLP(TM)) technology from Texas Instruments(TM) which help them achieve superior video image quality and compact size and weight. InFocus will display a prototype of its first DLP(TM)-based home entertainment projector in the Texas Instruments booth at CES (No. 2015).
Not a replacement for the "everyday" television, InFocus' concept is to offer a new way to enjoy movies, personal videos, games, digital photos, sporting events, HDTV and even the Internet with a dynamic, big-screen experience through a small projector.
