SX6000 Delivers Increased Image Clarity and Expanded Input Flexibility For Rental, Staging and Large Scale Fixed Installation Applications

ITASCA, Ill., April 18 /PRNewswire/ -- NEC Technologies (Nasdaq: NIPNY) today introduced the SX6000, the latest in its Nighthawk Series of Compact High Light Output (HLO) projection systems. The SX6000 features native SXGA (1280x1024) resolution, which creates greater image depth and clarity and allows for the projection of true uncompressed 720p HD signals while still being compatible with all HD signals. Designed for the mid-to-large screen rental, staging and fixed installation markets, the SX6000 joins the award-winning XT5000 as the second projector in the growing Nighthawk line.

Compact Form, Expansive Features

The SX6000 offers a powerful 5000 ANSI lumens of light accompanied by a 400:1 contrast ratio housed in a compact 95-lb. package. It also incorporates a host of distinctive features, including:
-- AutoSense(TM) Technology, which provides automatic adjustment to optimize incoming computer and video signals for effective presentation
-- Advanced AccuBlend(TM) Technology, which provides intelligent pixel blending for enhanced non-native resolutions
-- Lens indexing to enable the user to store the lens position in the projector's memory to automatically size the image to fill the screen
-- Built-in telecine detection that enables 3:2 pull-down correction with no external processing necessary, eliminating jitter and artifacts to allow for original film source motion quality
-- Power horizontal and vertical lens shift for simple imaging positioning
-- A selection of optional lenses to arm users with the flexibility to meet multiple application requirements
-- A Windows-like menu system that allows users to easily and intuitively now how to navigate the menu, providing for easy installation and operation

The SX6000 also incorporates a wide variety of inputs, including a DVI input and an optional HD SDI input card, giving it tremendous installation flexibility. The HD SDI card allows for a true digital interface with serial digital playback devices, enabling a better image with no quality loss.
