BRISBANE, Calif.--Feb. 10, 1999 - Hitachi America, Ltd., today announced the introduction of its next-generation LCD Projector, the CP-X955W.

Employing the latest in LCD technology to achieve superior brightness, resolution and lightness for its class, the CP-X955W comes equipped with the tools necessary to achieve professional, high-performance presentations.

The CPX-955W allows mobile professionals to accurately display images from diverse information sources -- from desktop systems to handheld PCs. Reproduction of both video and data images provides exceptional resolution; additionally, the projector compensates for data loss automatically in order to ensure more natural XGA reproduction.

The CP-X955W is priced at $11,995 and is available for immediate delivery. "The advanced features, reliability and ease-of-use of the CP-X955W LCD Projector has made this product an essential presentation device for an array of businesses," said Motomitsu Sadayasu, vice president and general manager of Hitachi America, Ltd., Computer Division.

One of the most versatile LCD projectors available today, the unit comes equipped with a remote control unit with a mouse function and laser pointer. Weighing 17.8 pounds, the CP-X955W is easily transported from personal offices to conference rooms to lecture halls. The unit also comes with built in speakers, a lens shutter and front air discharge system.
