InFocus Launches Two New Products At INFOCOMM 2001

Press Release  |  Jun 11, 2001

Projection Leader Showcases its Latest Products and Sponsors the Largest Industry Event of the Year

LAS VEGAS--June 11, 2001-- InFocus (R) Corporation (Nasdaq: INFS ) (OSE:IFC), the worldwide leader in digital projection, announced today that it will unveil the industry's new benchmark in projector brightness and portability at INFOCOMM 2001. The LP530, which will be formally announced tomorrow, offers unbeatable functionality and more lumens-per-pound than any other product on the market. InFocus will also display the LP290, a feature-rich, yet affordable LCD projector previously announced on June 5.

Ideal for the education, government and SOHO markets, the LP290 provides an attractive feature set that is traditionally found on high-end projectors. Both projectors, along with InFocus' full suite of InFocus - and Proxima - brand products, from the premium, three-pound LP130 to the 5000-lumen Pro AV 9350, will be on display at the InFocus booth, No. 18081, at the Sands Expo and Convention Center.

InFocus is also an official sponsor of INFOCOMM 2001. As such, InFocus' presence will be felt throughout the show including support for the official INFOCOMM press room. InFocus will also host training courses and informational seminars on Friday, June 15, in Room 801 Marco Polo at the Venetian Resort Hotel-Casino for AV professionals and those interested in projection technology and systems integration. Three different sessions will be offered, including "Selling AV Systems in Vertical Markets," "Emerging Technologies and Applications in Large Format Display and System Integration" and "Networking Basics for the AV Professional." New accessories will be on display at the InFocus booth, including deluxe traveling cases with wheels from Kenneth Cole and Samsonite(R), both designed to carry a laptop together with the microportable LP130 or X350. The Mind Path PocketPoint RF remote, a remote control about the size of a car alarm remote, with navigation buttons and a laser pointer, will be featured at the booth as well. With the PocketPoint RF, users can plug and present -- no software or USB/PS/2 connections are necessary.

Industry analysts and media interested in a demonstration of InFocus Corporation projectors at INFOCOMM are urged to contact Ashleigh Marshall of Golin/Harris International at 415/808-9855.
