Polaroid Announces Two New Portable LCD Projectors
Polaview 335 and Polaview 235 Offer Brightness, Portability and Detailed Resolution At an Affordable Price
CAMBRIDGE, Mass -- April 6, 1999 -- Polaroid Corporation (NYSE:PRD) today announced two high performance, portable liquid crystal display (LCD) projectors for highly mobile professionals. The Polaview 335 delivers brightness of 1000 lumens and a true XGA resolution of 1024 x 768 lines, and the Polaview 235 provides 850 lumens with SVGA resolution of 800 x 600.
Each weighing just 10 pounds, the Polaview 335 XGA projector and Polaview 235 SVGA portable LCD projector are ideal solutions for the mobile professional who requires the best presentation tools. The new projectors are compatible with multiple input and output devices, and provide a PC card adapter (PCMCIA Type II) for computer-free presentations. In addition, through its direct connect compatibility with major digital camera brands, the presenter can display photos directly from a digital camera through the projector. The new projectors also allow the user to get input from a DVD player or a HDTV source.
Equipped with a wireless remote control with an integrated laser pointer, the Polaview 335 and Polaview 235 user can operate the projector and mouse easily from a distance of up to 30 feet away. The projectors provide the user with a digital enhancement zoom feature for focusing in on a particular segment of the screen.
