INFOCUS UNVEILS FLEXIBLE XGA LARGE VENUE PLATFORM

WILSONVILLE, Ore., October 18, 2001 - InFocus(r) Corporation (Nasdaq: INFS) (OSE: IFC), the worldwide leader in digital projection, today introduced two high-performance system integration solutions serving large conference rooms, boardrooms, training facilities and auditoriums. The Proxima(r) DP9270 and DP9290 projectors deliver outstanding image quality, expansive input options and a key assortment of easy-install lenses, offering users unparalleled power, flexibility and control and better equipping large venues for enhanced collaboration and communication.

As upgrades to the DP9260+ and DP9280 projectors, the new, easy-install DP9270 and DP9290 offer 2600 and 3500 lumens, respectively, and enhanced video processing. Each unit offers key serviceability features such as an easy-access, user-replaceable lamp that can be replaced while the unit is still installed, motorized zoom and focus, and four optional lenses that can be easily exchanged in minutes-standard, wide-angle fixed, wide-angle zoom and long-throw zoom.

Both products also offer complete connectivity options including modular inputs that feature: Input 1: HD15/DVI-D (RGB analog and digital), Audio in; Input 2: 5xBNC (RGBHV, RGBS, RGB, YPbPr, YCbCr), Audio in; Input 3: RCAx3 (Composite/Component video), S-video, RCAx2 (R,L Audio). The DP9270 and the DP9290 both also feature an RS 232 port and work with all standard control equipment.

Warranties and Availability

When purchased with the standard lens, the DP9270 and DP9290 projectors are available at an estimated street price of $6,599 and $8,399, respectively. Both come with two-year standard product warranties and one year of ProXchange. One and two-year extended warranties, as well as additional ProXchange and Spare in the Air are also available for purchase.
