DUKANE ANNOUNCES NEW 3LB DLP PROJECTOR

Dukane Corporation, St. Charles, Ill. announces the Dukane ImagePro 8747. The 8747 is a small, ultra lightweight projector for applications where portability is essential. At half the weight and a smaller footprint than laptop computers, it is great for group presentations. Packed into its less than 3 pound body is a full featured projector using the Digital Light Processing (DLP) system from Texas Instruments. In addition, to simplify any application the projector is automatically compatible with today's computer and video signals. List price on the 8747 is $5995.

With an image brightness of 1100 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 400:1, the image is clearly visible in most classrooms and offices with the lights on. It provides a sharp XGA, 1024 x 768 pixel image that is compatible with today's computers. A 1.2X zoom lens permits matching the image size to that of the screen. The digital keystone function lets the image width be adjusted for the perfect picture.

Connections to a computer have never been easier with the automatic image adjustment circuit that immediately provides the correctly sized and locked image for computer inputs of VGA, SVGA, XGA, and SXGA resolution along with the MAC or Apple equivalents. Also, it has the capability for either analog or digital computer input signals through the DVI connector.

Video images from signals in composite or S-video formats from cameras, VCR, Laser Disc, or DVD can be easily displayed. The projector can be rapidly switched between the various signal sources.

Using controls on the projector or on the included IR remote control, the many options can be activated. This includes the ability to advance images in a PowerPoint presentation, set the keystone correction, change between computer and video images, change the aspect ratio, change projection for rear screen operation, and a variety of other adjustments.
