PROJECT YOUR BEST IMAGE™ WITH CHRISTIE DIGITAL SYSTEMS' EXCITING NEW "VIVID" PRODUCTS
- Christie Digital Announces Availability of Vivid Green™,
Kitchener, Ontario - (March 5, 2001) - Christie Digital Systems is pleased to announce the first in a series of new Vivid projectors purposely designed for conference rooms, boardrooms, churches, training rooms and other venues.
The new Vivid line of multimedia projectors complements the existing high performance 3-chip DLP™ products, the Vista series. Experts in the projection industry for over twenty years, Christie Digital is leading other manufacturers by offering unrivalled performance to address the growing needs of a presentation-savvy market.
"The market has been demanding a solution that bridges the gap in performance between microportables and the high-end fixed projection solutions. We've addressed this need with the Vivid line," said Zoran Veselic, Senior Product Manager, Fixed Installations. "The Vivid suite of projectors offers a wide range of brightness and resolution levels, yet are lightweight and portable-making them a truly cost-effective shared resource."
The first projector to be available in this new series is Vivid Green-featuring up to 3600 ANSI lumens, true XGA (1024 x 768) resolution with the latest in high aperture AM TFT p-Si LCD technology and optical design in a light 17.2 lbs (7.8kg) portable package. The Vivid Green delivers the highest ratio of lumens per pound in the fixed installations market today-an impressive 210 lumens per pound!
"Vivid Green offers an ideal combination of brightness and resolution. Plus, the latest developments in LCD panel technology and a unique lamp design from Ushio, Christie Digital's parent company, combine to make Vivid Green an incomparable offering," said Veselic.
Vivid Green can be used in high ambient light conditions and is ideal for installations in larger rooms especially when the lights are turned on. By employing Ushio's 250W NSH lamp with a typical lamp life of 1500 hours, Vivid Green offers a low cost of ownership over the life of the projector.
A contrast ratio of over 300:1 on/off delivers vibrant and vivid images across the screen with brightness uniformity that provides a smooth, uniform image from center to corners. Vivid Green's unique dual keystone ability (combining both optical and electronic corrections) ensures the projected image is perfectly square and distortion-free.
Vivid Green also features a brightness saving mode. This particular feature is effective in smaller rooms where brightness can be reduced by 20% from the original factory setting. In time, this feature will further extend the life of the lamp.
At the optical heart of Vivid Green's performance are three 1.3" Poly-Si LCD panels featuring Micro Lens Array. Through integrated digital scaling of VGA (640 x 480) through UXGA (1600 x 1200) to the XGA panel resolution, Vivid Green can display a wide variety of computer sources.
Vivid Green offers unparalleled connectivity via multiple inputs and outputs. It autodetects all TV standards including PAL, PAL-M, PAL-N, PAL-60, NTSC 3.58, NTSC 4.43 and SECAM. Compatibility with the latest DTV and HDTV sources (including 480 30I, 480 30P, 720 60P, 1035 30I, 1080 25I and 1080 30I) ensures that Vivid Green is truly a projector designed for professional presentations in today's digital age.
The built-in Digital Visual Interface (DVI-D) RGB input assures that the image displayed from your computer source is perfect, crisp and artifact-free-without the need for pixel clock and phase adjustments.
Everything about Vivid Green's operation has been designed to reduce set-up times-from Autopower to Auto-Setup (with memory recall for four user-defined display settings), direct-key image positioning and on-screen display (OSD) menus to quick-release feet. And features such as pan, digital zoom, video mute, audio mute and a fully-adjustable sound menu ensure that Vivid Green is an exceptionally easy-to-use projector.
