Kitchener, Ontario - (April 23, 2001) - Christie Digital Systems is pleased to announce a second addition to the new Vivid line of projectors purposely designed for conference rooms, meeting rooms and similar shared facilities. Vivid Lite offers an ideal combination of high resolution (true XGA) and high brightness (up to 1800 ANSI lumens) packed in an ultra-portable multimedia projector (just 7.7 lbs).

Vivid Lite contains three 0.9 inch p-Si Active Matrix TFT LCD high aperture panels with Micro Lens Array for optimum LCD performance. The latest LCD technology transmits more light through each pixel, delivering brighter and less pixelized images. The extensive lamp life ensures that a single 150W EHP lamp will operate for 1500 presentations of one-hour in length.

Additional features such as auto power-up, lamp-off control, manual lens zoom and focus, adjustable feet and the built-in security slot ensure that the projector is secured and easy to operate.

Unique to the industry is Vivid Lite's ultra-thin (0.2 inch) IR remote keypad. This credit-card size remote performs all the adjustments of Graphical User Interface (GUI) menus and features additional direct function keys such as: status, zoom/pan, volume, digital keystone, mute, and auto setting for the perfect image on the screen.
