LUXEON EXPANDS ITS DIGITAL PROJECTOR LINE WITH TWO NEW PROJECTORS AND A 50¡¨ DLP REAR-END PROJECTION SYSTEM

Irvine, California ¡V June 05, 2002 - Luxeon, Inc. an independent and privately owned company today announced the addition of three (3) new products to its current line of multimedia projectors. The new additions, which include the P680 model, 2800 ANSI lumens and the X500 model with 2000 ANSI Lumens projectors. Luxeon is also adding the AVR5010, a 50¡¨ DLP rear-end projection system to its product offering.

The P680 uses LCD Technology and offers a presentation solution for savvy professionals who require the characteristics of a larger projector, comfortably configured in a smaller footprint. Weighing just over nine pounds, the P680 offers an excellent brightness of 2,800 lumens and combines native XGA resolution and a 350:1 contrast ratio to provide exceptionally sharp and bright images. A wide range of connectivity options, which include composite, component, and S-Video inputs along with two RGB, enhances the P680¡¦s flexibility and one DVI input. The P680 has a switch-able IR receiver for the remote control, designed to help users avoid interference caused by some high frequency fluorescent lighting.

Additional features of the P680 include HDTV compatibility, a whisper mode that decreases ambient noise, manual zoom and focus, vertical and horizontal digital keystone correction and 16:9 aspect ratio.

The X500 uses DLP Technology from Texas Instruments and it is a terrific option for presenters who require a high quality, portable presentation solution thanks to its brightness of 2,000 lumens and lightweight 6.5 pounds. The X500 features native XGA (1,024 x 768) resolution and an impressive 400:1 contrast ratio, producing vivid and dynamic images. The X500 is also ideal for use in conference rooms, churches, classrooms or other settings where quiet operation is a must.

Additional features of the X500 include HDTV-compatibility, digital keystone correction, a built-in 3W*1 speaker, hand-held wireless remote control and component, composite, S-video and two RGB inputs. Both projectors include a free carrying case.

Simultaneously, Luxeon is introducing the AVR5010, an all-in one multimedia 50¡¨ DLP„· rear-end projection system. This unit offers the latest DLP projection technology. Its features include, XGA resolution, selectable aspect ratio, video and S Video input, and Digital TV component, AV Input and cable system built in. The AVR5010 supports TV systems both in NTSC and PAL.
