NEC REVOLUTIONIZES PROJECTOR NETWORKING CAPABILITIES WITH NEW PORTABLE PROJECTOR SERIES
NEC ImageXpress Wireless Networking Technology, 3D Reform Image Adjustments Make New MT Series Projectors a Must-Have for Facility Environments
ITASCA, Ill., June 10, 2002 - NEC Solutions (America), Inc. today introduced the first MT Series generation of portable projectors to offer the pioneering NEC ImageXpress networking technology option along with several other new technologies to give classroom, small auditorium and conference room users superior performance.
With the revolutionary NEC ImageXpress technology, MT1060 and MT1065 users can communicate continuously and in real time from a PC to the projector through a wired LAN system using a 10 base or a wireless system via Wi-Fi 802.11b. The wireless option lets users place their laptop anywhere in the room and switch between presentations on multiple laptops with the touch of a button for added versatility. Additional projector networking solutions allow online diagnostics by accessing the menu system for complete control of the projector from a remote location.
"The MT60 Series with ImageXpress technology opens the gateway to true collaborative meetings and information sharing using portable projectors," said Don Fasick, product manager for the Visual Systems Division at NEC Solutions America. "Users will also benefit from the superior image quality and robust feature set that have long been a hallmark of the MT Series, as well as from NEC's industry-leading service and support."
The MT60 Series includes NEC's exclusive 3D ReformT technology, giving users horizontal, vertical and diagonal keystone correction for perfectly square images when projecting from unusual angles. The new projectors also feature automatic, adaptive color correction to allow for more accurate representation of the projected images on any kind of display material, even textured walls. An automatic focus lens also allows for switching between multiple screens without user intervention to refocus the projector.
The LCD-based MT1060 and MT1065 projectors offer XGA native resolution at 12 lbs. at brightness ratings of 2300 and 3000 ANSI lumens respectively. They also feature NEC's exclusive VORTEX Technology Plus color management for the most natural, realistic colors and versatile image production available today, AutoSense one-touch setup and operation and an Eco-Mode lower light output option for longer lamp life and lower lamp replacement costs over the life of the projector. A longer-life lamp will also be offered as an option with the new MT60 Series.
Complete Service and Support Program
The MT1060 and MT1065 are backed by two years of NEC Solutions America's industry-leading warranty program, including InstaCare, which provides projector repair and return within three business days or replacement the next business day. According to Pacific Media Associates' recent 2001 Large Displays Reseller Survey, NEC ranked highest among all display manufacturers for the year for its warranty program, return/repair program, end-user support, knowledgeable support persons and responsive support persons.
